Is Online Gambling Legal in the USA
The quick and simple answer is yes. The dirty and convoluted answer is its not legal to have a gambling site based out of the US. The UIGEA of 2006 did not prohibit US citizens from gambling online. It did however make financial transactions with Internet gambling sites based in the US illegal. Therefore gambling sites are now located overseas. What does this mean for you? Well it means they are not regulated and held to US strict business practices and law. In turn there are some pretty shitty online gambling sites out there, so stay close to this site and ill steer you clear. Now I am not an attorney but from findings no one in the USA has ever been charged with playing poker or casino games online.
